3 million euros awarded for MSCA Doctoral Networks 2022 for research proposal ‘Explainable AI for Molecules – AiChemist’
Francesca Grisoni has been awarded an industrial Marie-Curie PhD program with her participation in a consortium of 14 fellows.
The award allows her to fund a PhD student with whom she will collaborate, together with healthcare company Sanofi-Aventis in the program “AiChemist.”
This program aims to develop explainable AI approaches for chemistry to explain, interpret and visualize the predictions of deep learning models. The funded PhD project will investigate explainable AI approaches to design bioactive molecules de novo, at the interface between method development and wet-lab experiments.
