The Netherlands Supramolecular Chemistry Scholar Award 2020

Tanja Weil of the Max Planck Institute for Polymer Research, Mainz, is the winner of the Netherlands Scholar Award for Supramolecular Chemistry 2020 presented by the Research Center for Functional Molecular Systems. This award recognizes outstanding scientists in the field of supramolecular chemistry.

Tanja Weil is director of the Max Planck Institute for Polymer Research (Mainz, Germany). She is recognized for her work on adaptive macromolecules and polymeric catalysts with applications in supramolecular and medicinal chemistry.

Tanja Weil is the fifth recipient of the Netherlands Supramolecular Scholar Award with Rafal Klajn, Hanadi Sleiman, Kenichiro Itami and Helma Wennemers. Their contributions to science are inspiring to many Dutch chemists in the exiting field of supramolecular chemistry and beyond.

Tanja Weil will receive the award during the annual meeting of the Research Center for Functional Molecular Systems, in November 2020 in Zwolle. She will also be invited to undertake a lecture tour of The Netherlands and present her work at several universities.
