Voets and coworkers reconstruct the structure of 1.5 MDa Adhesin

Dr. Ilja Voets (TU/e) and coworkers publish in Science Advances where they report that they managed to unravel the structure of a 1.5 MDa Adhesin protein, which is a bacterial protein involved in ice binding. It is the first detailed structure at the molecular level of a bacterial adhesin. This work might contribute to the development of novel methods to prevent bacteria to grip onto certain surfaces.
