The Royal Netherlands Chemical Society (KNCV) awarded its annual education prize to the FMS professor Wesley Browne (University of Groningen). With the prize he receives the title of Academic chemistry teacher of the year 2016 and funding to attend an international conference of choice.
The KNCV education prize aims to stimulate new initiatives and innovative projects in chemistry education in the Netherlands. Every third year the prize is awarded to a teacher from the academic community. The jury highlighted the exceptional contribution of prof. Browne to the chemistry education in Groningen and his excellent lecturing qualities.
